Refund policy

Four positions, stated plainly, so that you can work out where you stand before you write to us. This policy forms part of the terms of service.

Scope

Part I

What this policy covers, and the words it turns on

  1. Clause 1.1

    Scope

    This policy governs fees paid to MDThesis, a brand of REDENN Informatics Private Limited for a published service. It forms part of the terms of service, and the version published on the day you commissioned the work is the version that applies to it.

  2. Clause 1.2

    Two words that decide the position

    “A milestone” is a stage of your written scope with its own deliverable and its own instalment. A milestone is “delivered” when its deliverable has been placed in your record for review. Delivery is what the positions below turn on, not approval: a deliverable you have read and asked to be revised is delivered, and the revision is part of that milestone.

  3. Clause 1.3

    Work begins when the team is assigned

    Work on a project begins when your mentor and writer are assigned and the first stage opens in your record. The date that happened is in your record, and it is the line between clause 2.1 and clause 2.2.

Part II

The four positions

Every refund question resolves into one of these four. Find the one that describes your situation, then follow Part III.

  1. Clause 2.1

    Before work starts

    A full refund if you cancel before your team is assigned and before any work begins. Nothing is deducted and no reason is required.

  2. Clause 2.2

    After work starts

    Fees for milestones already delivered are non-refundable, because the work was done and the deliverable is in your record. Unused milestone instalments are refunded pro rata. A milestone that is part-delivered is settled on the part delivered, and we show you how the figure was reached.

  3. Clause 2.3

    Quality commitments

    If a synopsis is not accepted after our revisions, we rework it at no cost. If the final similarity report exceeds 10% on a passage we wrote, we fix it free[3]. Both commitments are a rework by us rather than a payment back to you, and both are about our own work: a passage you wrote, or a similarity figure produced by a tool and an index we have no access to, is outside them.

    Neither commitment is a promise of a grade, of acceptance by any committee or university, or of publication. No honest service promises those.

  4. Clause 2.4

    Processing

    Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 to 10 working days. We do not pay a refund to a different account or instrument, because the original route is the only one we can verify.

Part III

How to request a refund, and what happens next

  1. Clause 3.1

    The request

    Email info@mdthesis.com from your registered address with your thesis code and your reason. The thesis code is on every page of your record, and it is what lets us pull the dated history of milestones without asking you to reconstruct it.

  2. Clause 3.2

    Our answer

    We respond within two working days with the position from Part II that applies, the milestones counted as delivered, the arithmetic of any pro-rata amount, and the figure we will pay. You get that in writing before anything is processed.

  3. Clause 3.3

    If you disagree with our answer

    Say so in writing and tell us which part of the figure you dispute. Someone who did not work on your project reviews it and replies in writing with what they found. Nothing in this policy asks you to keep a complaint between us.

Exclusions

Part IV

What this policy does not cover

Stated as plainly as the positions themselves, because a refund policy that hides its limits is not a policy.

  1. Clause 4.1

    Outcomes we never promised

    A grade, a pass, approval by an ethics committee, acceptance by a university, an examiner's view or a journal's decision is not a ground for a refund, because no such outcome was ever sold — see terms §2.4 and terms §6.2.

  2. Clause 4.2

    Delivered milestones

    A delivered milestone is not refunded because the project later changed direction, because your topic was replaced, or because a decision you approved at the time is one you would now take differently. Clause 2.3 covers the case where our own work fell short.

  3. Clause 4.3

    Work done at your written request

    Work outside the written scope, which you accepted in writing under terms §4.3, is treated as its own milestone and follows clause 2.2 once it is delivered. Revisions beyond the number included in your plan are quoted before they start and are not refundable once delivered.

  4. Clause 4.4

    Where we ended the engagement

    Where we stop work because a request breached the terms or the data rules — see terms §6.4 — clause 2.2 applies: delivered milestones stand, and unused instalments are returned pro rata.

Part V

Changes to this policy

  1. Clause 5.1

    Which version applies

    The version published on the day you commissioned the work governs that work. A later revision does not reduce a position you were entitled to when you paid.

  2. Clause 5.2

    How you can tell

    The revision number and the date of the last human review are printed at the foot of this page. If the foot of a document never changes, nobody is maintaining it.
