Part I
You remain the author
What we do
We guide your research question and protocol, review and check your methods, run or check your statistics and explain every result, and review, restructure and edit the drafts you write, with section-by-section guidance.
What we never do
These are refusals, not options. A request for any of them ends the engagement.
- Write your thesis, synopsis or chapters for you to submit as your own.
- Appear as you before your guide, department, ethics committee, university or a journal.
- Claim authorship or co-authorship of your thesis.
Disclosure
We keep a record of the help we give. Where your institution or a journal asks for writing, editing or statistical help to be disclosed, we help you disclose it in the form they require.
Part II
Data and ethics
No fabricated or altered data
We do not fabricate, supply, alter or impute data to change a result, and we do not drop inconvenient cases. Where the data does not support a hypothesis, the analysis says so.
Ethics approval first
We do not begin an analysis on data collected before ethics approval was granted.
De-identified data only
Send data with names, hospital numbers and other direct identifiers removed. A file that arrives with identifiers is deleted, not worked on.
Part III
Similarity and citation
Never a way round a checker
Our similarity review shows which passages need a citation or your own rephrasing, and repairs citations. It is never used to disguise copied text or to get round your institution's own check.
No promised figure
We read reports against the UGC 2018 convention of under 10% similarity, but we promise no figure on any system we do not operate.
