Research rescue

Thesis deadline close? Get a research rescue assessment.

Tell us where the work stands and when it is due. A specialist reads it and tells you plainly what is still achievable in the time left, and what is not, before you pay anything.

Before you write

What to send us

Most of this fits in the form below. The rest goes in its message box.

Upload or paste de-identified research data only. Never send patient names, hospital IDs or other direct identifiers.

  • Programme and country

MD, MS, DNB, DrNB, residency, fellowship, MSc or MRes, and where you are training.

  • Specialty

So the request is read by someone from your own field.

  • The deadline, and who set it

The exact date, and whether it comes from your university, your board, your department or your supervisor.

  • Where the work stands

Protocol, ethics, data, analysis or chapters. The honest position is the useful one.

  • Your guide's comments

Your guide's or supervisor's written remarks, pasted in as they were given.

  • Files, only after we reply

De-identified drafts or data, when we ask for them. Not with the first message.

On a DNB or DrNB programme? Work out your NBEMS dates from your joining date before you write.

What you get back

What we look at

The reply is an assessment, not a sales call. It covers five things.

  • What appears fixable in the time

Which parts of the remaining work can realistically be done before your date, given what you already have.

  • What cannot responsibly be promised

Anything that depends on approvals, data or decisions outside our hands, named plainly rather than left vague.

  • The scope of support needed

Whether the work needs a check, a repair or something larger, and what you would still do yourself.

  • A proposed pathway

Which of our published services fits, at its published fee. If none does, we say so.

  • How communication will work

Who you will hear from, and where drafts and comments are exchanged once work begins.

Possible, and not

What the time can buy, and what it cannot

Often fixable in the time

Typical cases, not a promise. It depends on what you have and when it is due.

  • Re-running or checking an analysis on data you have already collected.
  • Restructuring a draft against your guide's written comments.
  • Repairing references and formatting to your university's template.
  • Preparing you to answer objections to your methodology.

What we will not do

However close the date is.

  • Backdate ethics approval, or work around it.
  • Collect, generate or alter data.
  • Write the thesis for you.
  • Promise approval, a pass, a grade, acceptance or a similarity figure.
  • Move any statutory or university deadline.

Questions people ask

  • Can you guarantee I will submit on time?

No. Your date also depends on your guide, your committee and your data, so nobody can honestly guarantee it. What we do is tell you plainly what is achievable before you pay. The only duration we commit to is the seven-day turnaround on a modified draft, counted from when we have the written remarks and anything they need from you; every other duration we publish is typical, not a guarantee.

  • My data is collected but not analysed. Is that fixable?

Often, provided it was collected after ethics approval and reaches us de-identified. A biostatistician first checks what the dataset can and cannot answer, then runs the analysis and explains each test so that you can defend it. We do not begin an analysis on data collected before approval was granted.

  • My guide rejected the methodology. Can you help?

Yes, if you send the written comments. A senior doctor in your specialty reads them against your protocol, tells you which objections can be answered and which need a change, and helps you prepare the revision. Where a change would need fresh ethics approval, we say so. The decision stays with your guide and your committee.

  • Do you write the chapters?

No. You remain the author. We review, restructure, edit and guide, and you approve every change before it stands.

What we refuse on every engagement is published in full.
